Again, "this place" is one user interface, for blogging only and it has its pros and cons as far as the bloggers on the internet are concerned.

Use cases for HIVE and HBD are not limited to one niche, nor one website/platform.

Steemit inc. and those people who lead the game in past centralized everything to their privately owned website steemit.com. STEEM and SBD were pretty much limited to that and NOTHING else.

Look at Splinterlands as one example of a use case outside of "blogging", no matter if you are a gamer or not, it is building a demand for HIVE and as such is adding to the value of HIVE (our crypto).

The market is where the demand is built, the need and wishes to own a crypto currency is what determines the value/price of any currency.

To accomplish any move forwards on the market, the currency must have use cases, it must have a diverse array of tools and applications for easy, practical and safe distribution.

What good is any crypto if all it is used for is circlejerking on one website?
ohhh and trading "pump and dumps". Which is the main cause of crypto being looked upon as "scammy" (as you stated).

However, is BTC looked upon as "scammy"?
It may be looked upon by some as something they are not sure about yet, but the fact that it is accepted in many places that do business and is available in a diverse range of sites/platforms (= use cases) BTC has become "acceptable", even among those who were skeptics.

Use cases, build demand, demand builds the value/price.

Diversity is the key to this, no matter what all hurdles and obstacles we need to overcome.

We can all have opinions about "crypto", but these opinions do not change the facts stated about demand vs price. Nor the fact that demand can only be increased with real use cases.
