Hey there Steemers, today I have a really cool post today which expands on the latest Bitcoin technology. A debit card that you can spend in normal shops, just like a VISA. You can even withdraw money at an ATM. All you have to do is top up your account in Bitcoin, and the rest is done for you! Above, you see the E-Coin Debit Card, which is one of the many cards that are available.
How do I get a Bitcoin Debit Card?
1) First of all, head over to https://www.e-coin.io/ to create an account. Creating one is fairly straight forward and literally takes less than a minute!
2) After you have created an account and verified it by E-Mail, you should be greeted to your dashboard. Here, you can top up, deposit, withdraw and order your Debit Card. The UI is very clean and easy to use. You can see your Bitcoin Wallet Address, account balance and all Transactions that are related to your account.
3) To get a card, click on 'Request New Card' at the top right. It will take you to a page to choose the card that you want. USD, GBP or EUR, Physical or Virtual and Standard or Expedite delivery. As you can see, one card for me is $17.00. This price includes shipping fees.
4) When you move on to the next page, you will have to fill out your personal information. Make sure this information is correct or you will have to buy a new card!
5) After filling in the form, you will be taken to a payment method page. You can pay via your E-Coin Bitcoin Balance, PayPal, Debit/Credit Transfer or Bank Transfer.
6) After that, a page will appear asking you if all the information is correct on the Card or if you want to change anything. The following delivery rate is here:
- Standard delivery around Europe: A few days - 3 weeks (Eastern Europe).
- Standard delivery to countries outside of Europe: Between 2-8 weeks.
- Expedited delivery around Europe: A few days.
- Expedited delivery to countries outside of Europe: Up to 7-10 days.

Why would I want something like this?
Well, most people have been wanting to spend their Cryptocurrency in shops, so this is the perfect card to have. You don't need to convert Bitcoin into your local currency or worry about exchange rates; E-Coin does all of this for you! For the online marketplace websites that currently do not take Bitcoin as a payment, it allows you to use the card to make normal purchases.
What are the fees of the card?
Below, you can see the fees and limits of the E-Coin Debit Card. In my opinion, I think that the fees are very low for card and that the limits are very generous over the course of 3 years. If you meet your limits, you can simply buy another card for $17. If you verify yourself by proving your residency and showing ID, you can get rid of some of these limits.
