As we remember, we had to check if the wave would go over it, as for today they have planned an event (Open Beta), which was supposed to affect the price increase. When I stopped by, the price was $ 0.26, now it's $ 0.24. As we see, the price did not go up. I act according to plan, I leave the asset for a long time. The remaining three assets increased by an average of 15%. They do not yet show strong growth, but they are growing with the market.
The first thing I want to note. As I said, it's not worth to go into one asset for the whole amount. AirSwap is a prime example. I allocated the risks to 4 assets. As a result, with the drawdown of one asset, my income from short-term investments has grown by 10% anyway.
The second. If the asset has subsided, and you went short, and it did not live up to expectations - it's okay until you sold it, there is no loss of funds. Just have to spend more time until the value of the asset goes up (if growth at all, so before investing even on a short, you need to understand what project you are entering).
Third. It is best to go short on the news, which is only published in the source. Not the way I did when I went to AirSwap, whose news was published a long time ago, and up to the date of the event from this news, there were only a few days left. Or at least a few weeks before the event, if growth was not yet on schedule.
Trading on news is a very relevant and viable option for making money, perhaps more profitable than simply keeping the asset in the portfolio for a long time or dealing with day trading. But we must sit and seek opportunities independently, actively engage in this and be aware of all events. Perhaps then, this will work. Personally, I'm not a supporter of this method. Only if I suddenly came across an important news that was just published by the project team, and realizing that the news is serious, I can go.
