The contract for £ 33 million is concluded between the British company Exscientia, which introduces artificial intelligence to the work of the pharmaceutical industry, and the drug concern GlaxoSmithKline (GSK)

Exscientia will provide GSK with its development - an artificial intelligence platform. She will be able to find new small molecules that are planned to be used for the production of medicines.

The machine learning system and the high computing power of the platform will help predict the behavior of the molecules, which will make it possible to find out their effectiveness in preparations before carrying out costly clinical studies.

This is not the first experience of cooperation between Exscientia and the pharmaceutical giants: in the spring of this year, the British signed a contract for 250 million euros with the French pharmaceutical company Sanofi.
