It's Friday ! I am still off on my Christmas holiday time and I am loving every minute of it...... even as it quickly whizzes by. Time off always seems to go by too fast doesn't it?? I took the whole week, a little more actually and will not return to work till after the first of the year. I have not been off of work a whole week since last Christmas.

Part of the gift I asked my Mom to give me this year was this tin of Hot Cinnamon Spice tea and this very fun tea squeezer. If you are a cinnamon nut like me, you may want to try this tea for yourself. I had tried it just recently and found I loved it and I wanted more so, now I have the next tin waiting.

Although it does say it has orange & sweet clove in it, my tongue generally only tastes cinnamon and in fact, I can only barely taste the actual tea in it. Multiple times I have taken a sip and then held it in my mouth for a few seconds, swirling it around on my tongue, trying to see what else my tastebuds might pull out of it. When it was cooler and not as happily hot as I like it, I did think I could pick up the tea flavor in the background.

I'm not complaining. I love this tea. It is like a warm cup of pure cinnamon stick and there is nothing harsh or bitter about it. It is smooth, comforting and easy going down. The first time I tasted it I was surprised to be honest, happily surprised. The other thing that is fascinating to me is that it is sweet, but has no sugar in it. Happily weird, right? I read and read about it after I first tasted it, because I was just sure they had snuck some sort of sugar or artificial sweetener plant in it, but they claim no sweeteners of any kind are in it.

My mother loved it too and wanted some, so I had ordered a tin for her too before Christmas.

As you can see, it is the Harney & Sons brand and they call their tea bags "sachets". They are not flat like tea bags from the grocery store. They are kind of a net triangle.

I cut one open so you could see the tea, orange peel, bits of cinnamon stick and etc. No worries, it's not wasted as I can put it in my tea infuser and still use it. 😊

Their company did fool me with this wonderful cinnamon tea and caused me to try something called White Christmas which indicated vanilla and almond, but once I got it, I found that to me it tasted disgusting. I could not drink a whole cup of it. Turns out it also had chamomile and some other things not listed on the front of the tin that WAY over powered anything vanilla and almond that might have been in there. I had also bought a tin called Gingerbread Festival, thinking my Mom might like it as she loves gingerbread, but neither of us were impressed. It wasn't disgusting tasting like the White Christmas, but it wasn't anything at all special either, well, not in our opinion that is.

I guess I thought since the Cinnamon Tea was divine, that all their other teas would be too. I was wrong ! 😄

On another fun note, one of my grown nieces who loves me very much for some reason, gave me this amazingly happy giant cookie cutter wall decor. It is approximately 22 inches tall. What is funny is that over the last some years, I don't know how many, a time or two I would see something like this on the net and I would follow a link to where it had once been for sale, only to find it was always sold out. I could not tell what year it had ever been for sale, so figured it was from a long time back as I could never find one like it available. I had never told anyone about it, because it was just one of those things you come across accidently, look for, don't find and let go. An uneventful thing and who shares that?? I dunno, but I didn't.

So imagine my surprise on Christmas morning when she handed me a bag with this giant fun cutter sticking out of the top ! I was instantly delighted. It will go in my kitchen as a permanent resident. I'm never going to put it away ! Of course she knew I liked gingerbread people and had a small collection that I put out at Christmas time, so I'm sure she knew I would love it. She said I didn't have to make cookies with it... ha ha ... for real I don't think I could fit one this big in my oven, or I might would have had to try it one time. She's so sweet to me !

When I sat down to make this post, in my mind it had not been dominated by hot cinnamon tea, There were various other things I was going to share, but then the tea took over and well.... here it is. Sometimes these things just decide themselves.

I hope everyone is having a good week here between Christmas and the coming New Year's weekend.

I will say that now that I have talked about Cinnamon Tea so much, I am wanting to ditch my coffee and have a cup of tea..... and I just might do that !
