Today's vehicle from the All British day in Brisbane Australia is an Austin Seven Ruby from the late 1930s.
One of the most famous of small cars ever is the Austin Seven. Built to provide affordable transportation to the masses.
An Austin Seven was the first vehicle in Australia to drive to the top of Australia at Cape York. Also Australia's well known race car driver Peter Brock started his talents in an Austin Seven.
These Ruby model's have a 747cc 4 cylinder side valve engine making a massive 17hp driving through a 4 speed floor shift gearbox powering the rear wheels. With a car weight around 400ish kilograms they did not have a lot of weight for the little engine to deal with. Yes they are still sloooow still.
So cute these little car's :)
