Hi, today I'm about to write another post about a new mission of Red Dead Redemption 2 and in this post, I'll share my experience of playing the fifth mission of the first chapter.
Colter, The First Chapter.
After a failed robbery, the gang have fled from Blackwater into the Grizzly Mountains, but a late spring storm has left them half frozen and starting. They hole up in an abandoned mining town to lick their wounds and await a break in the weather.
Who the hell is Leviticus Cornwall?
In need of money, and with the plans and explosives stolen from the O'Driscolls' camp, the gang ride out to rob Leviticus Cornwall's private train.
This is the first time in this game that I get to see the sun and green leaves of the trees around and they look beautiful. I think winter is ending there in the game story and that's why it's happening and I can't wait to see the world of RDR2 when its not winter as there was restriction going anywhere as I wished in the cold temperature.
This mission started after a few days later from Old Friends. Arthur went to check on injured John and that's when Dutch came to him and said its time for the train.
Then Dutch came outside and asked Bill to ride ahead and set the charge at the water tower just before the tunnel so they can blow the train track and rob the train easily.
Then there was this guy came asking why they need to do it as they're going to leave this place soon after the winter weather becomes livable and Dutch made him understand that they need money when they leave.
There were 5 of them started riding their horses and there was a cinematic when they were crossing the snow mountains and I got control of the game when they were out of snow.
Not just out of snow, we started seeing sun ray although there was thin visibility of the sun till now.
Then we've found the sunlight more and it already looked better. I felt like I myself was out of the snow which was a great relieved. And riding the horse in this weather felt better as well.
And we reached the rail track after this big ride.
Dutch asked me to get down and check on Bill so I moved to him and found him setting the explosives beneath the rail track.
After asking Bill if I can do anything to help him, he asked me set up the detonator by the rocks over there so that Bill can detonate the explosives at the right time and I did as he asked.
Then I returned back to the gang and all of used disguise by covering the faces with scarves.
And the wait was over as the train already came and now Bill needs to detonate the explosives.
But there was problem with the detonator or the explosives so it didn't happen. Yeah, the explosives didn't blow and the train was leaving us already so we needed to jump on the train and three of us jumped. Javier fell from the train, Lenny was hanging by the side of the train and only I landed perfectly
Then I grabbed Lenny and helped him get on the train and then he ran to a compartment.
I was running forwards towards the engine room to stop the train.
And there was this man with a rifle guarding an open deck whom I took down silently. And as we moved forward, we needed to take down more peoples.
And I've found this man right behind the engine room who was hiding for me and hit me with a shovel as soon as I reached there. Then I fought him and took him down and he was the train engineer, btw.
Then I reached the engine room and stopped the train.
The train was stopped at once with the hard brake.
There were more guards coming out of the train and there were only two of us kept fighting them. And then the rest of our gang joined us and we knocked out all the guards there.
Now we need a the door of the train to be opened from inside but no one was opening it out of fear so our peoples started shooting the door but the door is not opened yet.
Then we set explosives on the door and we hoped the explosives will work this time.
And boom, it worked. The door was opened and there were peoples came outside with their hands on the air. Those peoples were just scared which is why they didn't open the door so it was not worth killing them.
I went inside to check what we can find.
There were letters for Leviticus Cornwall from big shots.
I didn't find anything but there were these bonds that I though money of that time but later I understood that they were bearer bonds and Dutch confirmed that they worth something as they can sell them easily.
Then Dutch asked me to do those peoples as I wish (kill em, leave em here or take em with me on the train) but I just needed to make sure they won't send anyone after us.
I asked those peoples to get on the train and then I started the engine.
And when the train was on the run, Arthur jumped off the train and left the place riding his horse.
Then the mission Who the hell is Leviticus Cornwall? has come to an end.
I can't wait to play the next mission and see the beauty of another weather when its not winter and when I can go anywhere I wish to.
