Feeling nostalgic before the final mission, I checked on the family at home. Sadie arrived with a lead on Micah, revealing that his associate Cleet was in Strawberry. Despite Abigail's tearful pleas, John joined Sadie and Charles, rode to Strawberry, and chased down Cleet to locate Micah.
I set out for another mission, fully aware that it was likely the final chapter of the game. A wave of nostalgia washed over me as I rode forward, having spent so much time attached to the journey over many long hours, days, and months.
I had taken my time with the world for over a year, but now it was time to check in on my family before the end. I arrived home just as the weather began to turn foul, prompting me to step inside the house.
Inside, Abigail sat working on her needlework while Jack read aloud to the room, with Uncle listening nearby. John waited patiently until Jack finished reading the passage.
Once the reading ended, Uncle asked Abigail what was for dinner, but she suggested that he cook for himself instead. Suddenly, a voice called out for John from outside the house. It was Sadie, and Charles instructed John to step outside to greet her.
Sadie revealed that she found a solid lead on Micah through one of his men, who was wanted for murdering a woman and was currently drinking in Strawberry. She explained that if we catch him, he would lead us straight to Micah.
Abigail begged John not to leave, but John insisted that he had to ride with them. He reminded her that their entire life existed only because of Arthur's sacrifice, making it necessary to avenge his death.
Abigail wept and continued to plead with him, but John begged her to understand that he had no other choice. With that, it was time to hunt down Micah, a moment I had waited for throughout the entire game.
We needed to reach Strawberry before Micah's man could slip away, so I followed Sadie along the trail.
During the ride, Sadie, Charles, and John discussed their recent bounty hunting work. Charles mentioned that he did not intend to stay in the bounty hunting business for long, expressing his wish to move to Canada, marry a good woman, and start a family of his own.
We arrived in Strawberry sooner than expected. We hitched our horses near the bridge to search for our target. Sadie instructed us to take the opposite side of the river while she'd cover this side, ensuring we sweep the entire town efficiently.
Before starting the search for Cleet, I returned to my horse to grab a few heavy weapons, knowing that things could quickly turn dangerous.
Then I began searching for Cleet, one of Micah's old associates who could lead us directly to him. Moments later, I spotted Cleet walking out of a nearby building. The instant John called out his name, Cleet took off running, and I immediately gave chase through the streets of Strawberry.
Here I'm finishing the post for today, and I'll talk about more special RDR 2 gaming moments in Gaming Photography.
