The Davao Central 911 uses Emergency Computer Aided Dispatch (ECAD) that enables the authorities to locate the distress calls and gives assistance to the citizens that need emergency resources of the government. As of now, the DC 911 have the following services: Call Center; DC Police Mobile Patrol; Emergency Medical Services (EMS); Urban Search and Rescue (USAR); Fire Auxiliary Services; and K-9 unit. All of these great services was done by our President Rodrigo Duterte when he still the former Mayor of the Davao City. It wasn’t easy job to create this kind of services especially when it comes to budget, but our President Duterte didn’t failed his fellow citizen. Davao city is known as one of the “Safest” city in the world when it comes to crimes and any violence. But the former Mayor didn’t just stop in doing what’s best for his city. Instead he created a more reliable facilities and well-trained people to responds in any circumstances that his fellow citizen might need.

I learned in DC 911 is that Davao City became only the third locality in the world that utilizes 911 as its emergency number, next only to the United States and Canada. I also learned that if it is applied to our whole country, we can minimize the damage of that can be done in the future. Also, one of their goals is to enable public safety agencies to respond to emergency cases in more effective, quick and coordinated manner, thereby saving lives, protecting properties, stopping crimes and preventing major fire loss in systematic and efficient way.

The visit helped me to develop my career choice by choosing a company that can secure my safety. Also, I’m inspired by the staff and employees of the DC 911 because they’re very devoted in saving the lives of others. As an aspiring engineer, I’ll do my best to secure the safety of my people (assuming) by keeping our service effective and efficient.
I’ll recommend to conduct a visit to Davao Central 911. I also recommend that, it is better to coordinate with their staff to schedule a visit in the facilities with actual drill.
