Hello my beautiful people! how are you? I tell you that yesterday, taking advantage of the fact that it is Saturday, we took a walk to Rinconada and I could not miss the opportunity to visit the Alejandro Otero museum, which was inaugurated in 1990 in memory of the famous Venezuelan artist of the same name who died in 1990 and had not had the opportunity to visit it until now. I hope you like it!
¡Hola mi gente bonita! ¿cómo están? Les cuento que el dia de ayer, aprovechando que es sábado dimos un paseo hacia la Rinconada y no pude dejar pasar la oportunidad de visitar el museo Alejandro Otero, el cual fue inaugurado en 1990 en memoria del famoso artista venezolano del mismo nombre el cual falleció en 1990 y no había tenido la oportunidad de visitarlo hasta ahora. Espero les guste!
As I mentioned before, this museum is dedicated to the artist Alejandro Otero, who is one of the most important kinetic art artists in our Venezuela together with Jesús Soto and the master Carlos Cruz-Diez. The inside of the museum is really beautiful, although I couldn't get to know it completely since they were about to close when I arrived, there were no guides, so I could only see the ground floor accompanied by the guard, who was the only one there. The museum is made up of the work of the artist Alejandro Otero, although it also has pieces made by his wife, the artist Mercedes Pardo.
Como les comenté anteriormente, este museo está dedicado al artista Alejandro Otero es cual es uno de los artistas de arte cinético más importante de nuestra Venezuela junto a Jesús Soto y al maestro Carlos Cruz-Diez. El museo por dentro es realmente hermoso aunque no pude conocerlo completo ya que como estaban por cerrar cuando llegué no habían guías así que solamente pude conocer la planta baja acompañada por el vigilante el cual era el único que estaba. El museo se compone de la obra del artista Alejandro Otero, aunque también cuenta con piezas hechas por su esposa Mercedes Pardo.
Diría que mis obras favoritas son las llamadas "Coloritmo" las cuales son realmente espectaculares y me recuerdan un poco a la obra del maestro Cruz-Diez, también estos otros cuadros llenos de color los cuales no pertenecen a los coloritmos pero me llamaron mucho la atención ya que me encanta este tipo de arte cinético. Menos mal que me dejaron tomar fotografías, las cuales se las compartiré a continuación, cabe destacar que el origen de estos Coloritmos se debe a una serie de murales que fueron plasmados por el artista en la Ciudad Universitaria de Caracas, edificios públicos y residencias privadas. En mi opinión, los coloritmos son increíbles y también han sido expuestos internacionalmente.
I would say that my favorite works are the ones called "Coloritmo" which are really spectacular and remind me a bit of the work of the master Cruz-Diez, also these other paintings full of color which do not belong to the coloritmos but they caught my attention a lot since I love this type of kinetic art. Luckily they let me take pictures, which I will share below, it should be noted that the origin of these Colorhythms is due to a series of murals that were captured by the artist in the University City of Caracas, public buildings and private residences. In my opinion, the colorhythms are incredible and have also been exhibited internationally.
También me gustaron mucho estos otros cuadros que fueron hechos con periódicos, cola y pinturas los cuales aunque se pueden ver sencillos a mi me parecen muy originales ya que anteriormente no había tenido oportunidad de ver algo parecido, y estos otros que también me llamaron la atención en los que muestran algunos lugares de Caracas en la época de antaño, y otros con colores bastantes sencillos pero que me parecen muy atractivos ya que no me resistí el tomarle fotografías, aunque haya sido a prisa.
I also really liked these other paintings that were made with newspapers, glue and paints which, although they can be seen simple, seem very original to me since I had not previously had the opportunity to see something similar, and these others that also caught my attention in which they show some places in Caracas in the days of yesteryear, and others with quite simple colors but which seem very attractive to me since I did not resist taking pictures, even if it was in a hurry.
Haber visto esto me dejó con muchas ganas de más, pero lamentablemente no tuve la oportunidad esta vez sin embargo, espero volver esta semana que viene y conocer mejor con el museo, antes de irme no pude evitar centrar mi atención en estas obras las cuales están iluminadas así que no pude evitar tomar una fotografía, al igual que una escultura que está a un lado de la entrada, y a una especie de muro en el que se muestran varias obras en pequeño. De verdad disfruté mi breve visita al museo y de verdad espero volver esta semana a conocerlo mejor. Les cuento que cuando estudié diseño gráfico tuve la oportunidad de estudiar un poco sobre Alejandro Otero y siempre había querido venir pero nunca había tenido la oportunidad ya que realmente está lejos así que estoy muy feliz de haber podido finalmente visitarlo.
Seeing this left me wanting more, but unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity this time, however, I hope to return next week and get to know the museum better, before leaving I couldn't help but focus my attention on these works which are illuminated so I couldn't help but take a picture, as well as a sculpture that is on one side of the entrance, and a kind of wall on which various small works are displayed. I really enjoyed my brief visit to the museum and I really hope to return this week to get to know it better. I tell you that when I studied graphic design I had the opportunity to study a little about Alejandro Otero and I had always wanted to come but never had the opportunity since it is really far away so I am very happy to have finally been able to visit it.
