sunday lunch time spent away from home. ate at a chinese restaurant and had some time to walk around a bit. weather has been getting better as well, yesterday was really dark but now at least the sun rose. it would have been a good time to take a walk around a park.
after lunch time, housemate g and i had some time to walk around. it was a very needed one as food was on the heavy side.
our local fire department had some event at the city hall grounds. we arrived late though, they were cleaning up when we arrived. returned home never to go out until later that night for groceries and a treadmill walk.
for the past days i spent on the treadmill i have been enjoying this jdrama on netflix. as i have no netflix account, i only watch this everytime i had a treadmill. now let us dive back.
our band tenblank after that live music program success decided to have a home retreat. retreat is not really the best word for what they are doing, they are on the countryside to have a leisure bond time and to create more music. our soloist singer also came and made some great music with our musical genius. at this point i really wished that our heroine drummer could sing and show off her skill as well. but i guess she will be too OP if she does.
it was in here where our soloist hit a realization that although she was a star with many followers, she was still nothing but a small fry in the industry. she could not even make her own decisions. i believe that there are artists and companies doing this exact thing, and i feel bad for the artist. the ideal thing is to have a collaborative effort, but sometimes that is really not the case.
it was also in this "retreat" where our 4 band member fully become a band. when before they were only focused on making their own sounds, now they have incorporated how the other members would stand out in a piece. it was such a touching moment.
we also get to take a look at the business side of things, how plagiarism is handled, and how people with good intentions can sometimes act cruel. people are a product of their past. people act can stupid when pushed.
i ended my series binge with a versus concert between our tenblank and our loud punk band over a song. very interesting! i could not wait the see the next episodes.
equally interesting is this special edition of chivas regal whisky which used mizunara oak barrels. they made scotch whisky using the japanese tradition of using this specific type of oak. and this was very smooth.
