last day of january, who would have thought how fast january ends. time really does fly fast.

by mid afternoon, i decided to make some coffee. it's a fine time to open the coffee grounds i brought from back home, kapeng barako. made from locally produced liberica coffee beans in the philippines, it has a slightly fruity aroma and a smoky, woody taste. from what i have read, this type of coffee is getting rare as the plant requires a much bigger space than the other species of coffee. it is still abundant in the philippines though but is rarely exported. kapeng barako deserves a bigger promotion.

by night time, i had my usual hour long treadmilk walk for the second day. my gym buddy said that he desperately needa sleep and will find it really difficult to go to the gym. and so i did went by my self and drenched in sweat after.

back at home, decided to mix some soju and "fruits au lait". will do this again soon but it would be better to use clear soju next time. although i love sweets, this is just too sweet to drink at night. was expecting to get some alcohol infused intoxication but nothing came. it seems that i'm only drinking juice. i will need to mix in some higher concentration of soju next time, but one glass is enough for today.

some deliveries also came. my friend from the philippines is a big fan of a kpop group, stray kids. she asked me to order merch for her. some of it came today. i was also a fan of some kpop group at some point in my life so i totally understand. i was mostly drawn to the beat although i do not have any clue what the song meant. i was there for the music alone. who can relate loving the addictive shinee's ring ding dong (ring ding dong ring digi ding digi ding ding ding)? oh my god, this brings back memories.
