Hello ladies and gents, it's here! I'm back on my way!
I can't even explain how excited I was for this one. Winter seemed way too long this year... so I escaped it straight to summer! But before I dive into the exciting month that's ahead of me, let me talk a little about the journey.
It was the first time I travelled outside of Europe, the first time with a luxurious airline, and the first time with a transfer. And I loved it! It was much more comfortable than I had initially expected due to multiple reasons. First, the service on Qatar Airways was amazing: they had great food & drinks onboard, provided a blanket, pillow, earphones and other travel essentials. So in the end, the total of 15 hours I spent on their planes didn't really feel like it!
Second, I had prepaid myself a lounge access at Hamad International Airport in Qatar, where I was transferring. And was lucky enough to come at a time where the lounge I had ordered was full, so I got upgraded to a higher-class one. Again, with unlimited food and drinks. And they also had showers!
The airport itself is unbelievably posh, they even have a garden inside! It looks beautiful but I seriously don't want to know how expensive the place is (thanks to the lounge, I didn't need to buy anything).
