Hello, my dear hivers!
Today, I’ll be sharing with you our trip to San Remigio Beach.
It all started when my dad’s close friend called and invited us for an overnight stay somewhere in San Rem. We didn’t know the exact location yet because his friends were still looking for a place. Hours later, his friend texted that we would be going near Orongan Beach Resort to swim, specifically at Guafely Beach Resort, Anpog, San Remigio.
Dad was the one bringing the vehicle, and some of us were joining with him, including my uncle’s wife (my dad’s brother's wife). That afternoon, I started getting ready, packing the things I needed and even preparing the plates, utensils, and of course, my tumbler.
When night came, we left the house and picked up my aunt so we could all go together. My dad’s close friend and their group went ahead of us because they wanted to arrive while it was still a bit bright so they could set up the food and everything. The trip there took about half an hour, and luckily the roads weren’t wet.
On the way, we stopped by a store to buy sachet of coffee, and I asked for a Fudgee Bar too so we’d have something to snack on.
Minutes later, mom and I got back in the car, and we headed to the beach. As we got closer, we saw the name of the beach before turning into the small road leading there. We arrived at around 8 PM, and what greeted us were some nipa huts that tourists could rent—complete with foam mattresses and ceiling fans.
As we walked around, we looked for our group. A few minutes later, we found them. Some were already done eating, so we ate right away upon arriving.
Though we were the last ones to eat, there was still much food on the table. First, I went for the humba and lumpia.
Off to the side of the food display was the volleyball area, but no one had yet taken to the court since food was still being served. Others were just sitting around, idly talking; some were sipping drinks.
I'd been eating when I saw some guys getting ready to roast a pig's head on the fire; they were marinating the pork, prepping it for grilling.
Minutes later, after I finished eating, one of our companions took pictures of the two kids who were celebrating their birthday, another reason for the night swimming. And there were the happy birthday balloons and the cake as well.
A few minutes later, some of our companions, including my dad, were by the shore looking for something from the sea. Surprisingly, they gathered a lot, so many sea urchins! It was amazing. Once they set them out, we all gathered to eat and taste them.
After eating, my sister and I decided to do a mini photoshoot on the sand since the beach wasn’t very crowded at that time. Luckily, we got some really nice shots that I really loved!
And that’s all for today’s blog, my dear hivers! Thank you for reading!
