Hello Hivers!
Good day, @itsmemic once again.
Today, I’ll be sharing about what and where we buy our snacks after duty.
During 3 PM, which is usually snack time, I wasn’t feeling hungry, so I didn’t bother eating. But by 5 PM, I started to feel hungry—perfect timing since our duty had just ended. I then asked my coworkers, who I usually approach whenever I crave something to eat.
By the way, my food buddy that I mentioned in my previous blog has already resigned as a working student. So now, I have a different set of people with me. These new food buddies of mine were already my friends before, but we didn’t get to bond much since I was always with my bestie back then.
I told my coworkers, “Guys, let’s eat burgers at Heaven’s Burger, but let’s split the cost since one set costs 40 pesos.” Heaven’s Burger is just walking distance from our office, so it’s very convenient.
Do you know why I was craving burgers? Around 5 PM, I saw a group of working students at the student lounge eating burgers, and I was sure they got them from Heaven’s Burger. The money they used to buy the burgers was apparently from the prize they won during our Christmas Party.
When I asked my coworkers, they said, “Okay, let’s go.” Initially, the plan was for me and my female friend to split the 40 pesos, but my male friend insisted that we split it three ways so he could save money too. He also said he wouldn’t eat that much anyway. In the end, my male friend and I split the 40 pesos.
Before we left the school campus, my guy friend mentioned that he also wanted to buy milk tea. We all agreed.
When we got to Heaven’s Burger, we immediately placed our orders. While waiting, we saw one of our superiors. My female coworker then said, “Ma’am, look at our coin purses. We look like siblings—if one doesn’t get something, they’ll sulk or cry. HAHAHAHA!”
We all laughed. By the way, these coin purses were gifts from another superior, along with sling bags. Mine was black, and my female coworker’s was brown.
After our superior left, we had to wait a while since there were a lot of people. We decided that one of us would stay at Heaven’s Burger while waiting for the order.
My guy coworker and I went to buy Don Macchiato’s milk tea. I accompanied him since the drink was cold, and I was worried he might not be able to carry it comfortably.
After buying the milk tea, we went back to where our female coworker was waiting. Perfect timing—our four burgers were ready. We were so glad!
Yes, we were full. Their burgers are really filling, even though I only ate one. Oh, and I didn’t buy milk tea since the weather was very cold, and I still had to travel later, so I decided not to. I just told my coworker, “Maybe next time.” Besides, my tummy was already full.
And that’s all for today’s blog, guys. I hope you enjoyed reading!
