Hello my dear Hivers!
Today, I will be sharing some moments I spent with friends. This time it was at the beach, and I am so glad that after so many plans, we finally got to implement it!
Our initial plan was to go swimming on a Wednesday and spend the night so that we could leave home by Thursday morning. But no one brought up the plan on Tuesday at all. And then 'Wednesday' came, that everyone would guess what was happening really. So, I suggested doing it the next day, that would give us a wider time margin for packing and prepping.
That evening, we finally decided which beach to go to because Lavester and Lesly sent photos and pricing details of Paradizzo Beach. We also made sure to leave early the next morning to secure a spot and so Kat’s older brother could drive us there. Kat mentioned her brother could take us at around 8 AM and we just had to pay ₱40 each, which was super convenient and helped us save money since we didn’t need to go to the terminal.
Also, on Wednesday, I reserved some scallops in advance since we still had enough budget for it.
My beach swimming sessions will not be complete without the sweet, juicy scallops. In the past, we always made sure there were scallops on our menu whenever we had a planned beach trip, especially if our wallets were not complaining. The good thing is, my friends also love scallops.
Before, I honestly didn’t know where to buy them. I used to think they were only available in San Remigio since it’s closer to the sea. But during a random conversation with my other classmates, someone mentioned that they had scallops for lunch one time. That’s when I messaged one of them to ask where I could buy steamed scallops. Good thing they remembered and knew where!
Since then, I’ve become a regular customer of the vendor. We just order through chat, and I pick it up once it’s cooked.
For the scallops I reserved, it was Katrien and the others who picked them up early in the morning. Luckily, the vendor agreed that we could get them as early as 8 AM.
And because Lesly and company were already purchasing items on that Wednesday, I paid for the scallops ahead of time lest we should fall short of our financial budget.
The next day, Thursday, our plan finally pushed through! Everyone arrived early, and Kat’s brother was able to drive us. Thankfully, even though we picked up the reserved food at around 8 AM, it was still allowed.
We all gathered at Katrien’s house, packed our things, and luckily everything fit in the vehicle. On the way there, the view was absolutely stunning!
Also, along the road, we realized Katrien’s brother didn’t know the way to Paradizzo, so we just used Google Maps, and it was her phone we used to guide him.
And yes, it was a success!
That’s all for today’s blog, my dear Hivers! Thank you so much for reading!
