Hello, fellow scribers!
It's been 2 weeks since I post in the community, and I didn't write more because I was having a holiday in an Island visiting a friend.
I didn't have the opportunity to write there because I was too busy doing things and spending quality time with her. I came home yesterday and I was exhausted. That's the reason I didn't post this poem yesterday.
Celebrating Valentine's Day is something that I haven't done in my entire life, and this is why I wrote this poem. I hope you enjoy it.
Warning! This is not a cheerful poem.
Sometimes, I believe that I am trapped in a never-ending cycle of loneliness.
It may not be a big of a deal; not every person have "Their One and Only" in their lives
And I want to believe that it's not late either, but I can't stop thinking about when will it happen to me.
Am I destined to be a lonesome? Am I sounding desperate and pathetic? Because maybe I am.
I go out and witness all the love that is spread around; people immersed in their own joy and happiness, and it's difficult not to feel envy.
Also, I can't help but think about the chances I pushed away because I was afraid of getting hurt
Knowing that year after year, I'll feel the same. That "The One and Only" might not be there for me because I scared them away.
