CryptoPups, developed by Loki Studios, lets players breed and trade their own puppies. The game integrates the digital currency ETH, giving each puppy economic value. The studio is a huge fan of digital currencies and believes blockchain titles can help regular people understand them. According to the official press release:
"We believe blockchain games will be an ever growing market and will not only attract people familiar with things like cryptocurrencies but will seek to bring in newcomers and help them learn about the technology behind things like Bitcoin and Ether."
CryptoPups began a presale for the virtual puppies on Feburary 5th, which let interested participants get a head start in breeding virtual puppies of their own. Only 2,000 puppies were available for the presale, and over half were purchased before the game's official release.
