As a political scientist through some research the natural sciences like chemistry and physics have developed a number of mechanical apparatus for studying the phenomena concerning themselves.

It's also stated that political science doesn't have such Instruments for carrying on a systematic study of the goals institutions and processes of the state ..

This brought about a political scientist Auguste Comte in the 19th century who suggested three major method Viz:-

  • Observation
  • Experimental
  • Comparison

  • Observational method

This method was first adopted by the famous political scientists Plato and Aristotle who analysis politics by just observing or through observation

Plato visited a large number of countries studies their socio economical political conditions and propounded the conditions

Aristotle also visited a large number of countries to view his mental political horizons and adding to his knowledge

These set of political scientist proved that politics could be analysed by observations because science is the study that's is based on observation and experimental study backed up with hidden facts

Through their experience observation method can be successful only by competent and critical minds..

  • The observer must be a trained person

  • He must be well trained in his mentality to widen his mental horizons

  • The observer must have a concrete knowledgeable idea backed up with the knowledge of the past future and present that few political scientist acquire .

Few political posses this requisite calibre that an observer should possess this bring about another political scientist David Easton saying :

Relatively few political scientist have the opportunity to participate extensively in high level politics at the national and state capitals a slightly broadly group Eddy around the scholars (The political system (1959) p 49)...
