Great weekend, in my country today is celebrated the children's day, I wish that a few days before the elections, the change is possible and the best gift for them is a free country.

As free or freer than the country I grew up in, when one thought what career to study to be able to earn a living and do the things we wanted. Now many universities are empty, there are careers that have no enrollment and are about to disappear.

To remember is to live and today in this dynamic weekend I go back in time to tell you and show you these photographs that I never thought I would be able to publish.

I studied in an all-girls Catholic school, whose destiny was for lower middle class families, but in reality most of them were daughters of upper class families, doctors, politicians and businessmen.

We were few with scarce resources, so we belonged to a group of girls who were discriminated for that reason, we could not be fashionable or acquire what was fashionable at the time.

This affected me because I came from a school that although it was also private, we were treated equally, my grades and my self-esteem were affected.

My grades were 19 and 20, then I was satisfied with just passing the subjects.

I always liked English, there I always got the highest score and the girls in these activities were always fighting to be in a group with me.

There was also a time when I belonged to the choir to sing at mass, I sang second voice to my friend Alexandra Herrera, but she doubted me so much that I didn't continue.

I remember once they changed the order where we sat in the hall and behind me they placed a popular girl Mariel Jordan, we began to treat each other and get along well. One day in the morning she came out to greet me with a hug and joy and another one stopped her telling her why would she do that, and until that day she treated me.

I was an ugly duckling too, I didn't know what to do with the curls in my hair, they all came out and I ended up being called sunshine at school,
I was also called a freak like the little cartoon.

Well, I also have good memories with my friends, those of us who were on the same side and who still treat each other. As adults we have met again and many of them apologized for their behavior.

I was not the popular one in my high school days, but I did pass all my subjects, in accounting I was very good, I did a book of 12 columns in 2 hours when the teacher gave us 4 hours to do it.

I remember there was a time when I didn't want to enter some specific subjects and I stayed in the bathroom, it was very difficult to escape from school, although once I managed to do it, but it was only to come home.

My parents went to look for me and didn't find me, the next day they were summoned because I had run away.

A couple of times I argued with a nun, who was very mean to us, she didn't even let us listen to music at recess, she wanted to take my walkman and we fought for it and I didn't give it to her. Yet another summons.

Sometimes I got tired of going along with the flow and just being one of the crowd.
