Have you ever counted yourself as lucky? Write about a time or event in your life in which you felt luck or happenstance played a part in bringing an advantageous result. What was the situation and result and why do you see luck as instrumental in it?
I have had several times of being lucky it could be leaving or entering a place at the right time to meet someone or escape from danger, but I want to share this particular event maybe because it's quite recent.

During the Easter break I went to visit my Dad I hadn't seen him since last year November.
I planned to spend few days with him, my two other siblings stay with him.
For those in Nigeria we all know the crazy security situation in the country now.
Night fell on us and there was electricity supply through out that day but around 10pm the house electricity tripped off , but there was still light in the neighborhood but it was total darkness for us. My Dad said he will check it the next day, not few hours Later there was serious robbery attack in the neighborhood and the bandits targets were houses that were lighted so I thought,they robbed over 10 houses some victims got serious injuries . But our house was spared. Maybe because they thought nobody was in the house. It was more than a lucky day.
