Just like all of the planets and their moons in our solar system, any and all movement is cyclical, that is until some cataclysm can affect change. In the meantime conditions are static and the timing of movement is perfection without flaw. This is why ancient people used landmarks to gauge solar and lunar movement as way to keep track of time.
