Sometimes, when I'm struggling to find inspiration and generate ideas for my next photography project, I end up in my kitchen, utilizing the macro capabilities of my lenses. Getting closer to the subject and changing the perspective can make even the most mundane things look intriguing. Once I start taking close-ups, my creativity gets flowing again.

Yesterday, I searched the cupboards for things that I haven't photographed yet. What I stumbled upon was my medical box, which had pills for a sore throat, as well as expired antibiotics and painkillers. My first thought was to create a "Matrix"-style photo shoot with blue and red pills, but as it turned out, I didn't have any of the latter. Therefore, I decided to examine all the pills that I had through the eye of my Lensbaby.

The "S" pill for a sore throat. It tastes so good that I wanna suck it even when I am not sick.

Close up of the blue pill. Notice the texture underneath - the white cardboard looks quite smooth from a foot away.

Apart from the picture above, all other images are taken at f/5.6 due to the difficulty of focusing on the subject when the hands are not steady and the lens is set to a lower aperture.

The Pain Management pills. Expired.

Any idea what A/C means? I took these when I had problems with one of my teeth. Expired.

For Diarrhea Relief. You never go to the Bulgarian seaside without a pack of these!
