Today is a special day because it's a double birthday! It was my 35th birthday when my first child entered the world, it was the best birthday gift ever! This gift just keeps on giving! Now it's been 11 years and my oldest daughter is no longer a little one, but is becoming more and more capable every day.
As a special treat, daddy invited her for a lunch date and I ordered her a fancy grownup sandwich.
Afterward, we picked up supplies for a birthday dessert and she saw some "can tabs" that were golden. As another fancy treat (for daddy and daughter), I purchased some nice drinks in cans so she can have a golden can tab. It's a funny thing, because my children value the colored can tabs so much (especially a gold colored one), this was very exciting and fun for her.
It is an honor and a pleasure to celebrate my birthday every year with my wonderful daughter!
