Looking outside through patio door, my succulents are still as beautiful as couple days ago. I was happy and healthy a couple days ago, but now I am still under pain walking abnormally. Playing pickle ball is a good thing to improve my health, but with several injuries the past year, I think I should rethink how to handle it better of this sport.
I have no doubt that I really enjoy playing pickle ball. The reason is that my playing partner is a very good pickle ball player. When we play together, I always try to play the best. My husband played tennis in his whole life. One day we were playing tennis in the public court, we saw so many people played pickle ball on the next court. The court is smaller, more people could play together, and people there were more excited. Why didn't we try also?
After we tried the first time, we immediately changed to play pickle ball. Tennis was too intense for us, my husband said. I agreed too. Of course, we were the beginner, he hit the ball to me, I hit the ball to him, so it wouldn't cause any problems.
After played a year, we became better pickle ball players. We loved this sport so much that couldn't skip playing a day. One day I felt my right arm hurt so bad, my knee and ankle were injured, the worst of all, my right eye was hit by pickle ball.
I had to go to ER to check if my eye was ok at midnight. Luckily, not much patients were ahead of me. The worst thing was not ending yet. I thought I was having stroke couple days ago after finished playing pickle ball couple hours later. After dinner, I felt very uncomfortable and my body was starting shaking. I requested my family to call ambulance. After they checked on me, they said I was fine.
The pain was so severe on my both legs that I couldn't sleep even taking pain killers. The worst time was gone, but I am still having pain and can't walk much. Is it worse to play pickle ball to make myself keep having injuries? I don't think so. I will take it lightly when I can play it again.
