It had been a long time since we’d promised ourselves a stop in Cluny, with one main goal in mind: to visit its famous Benedictine abbey, founded in 910, which played a major role in Europe’s religious and cultural history.
Right from the start, a pleasant surprise: a huge parking lot at the entrance to the town—perfect for avoiding the usual parking headache.
Cluny, nestled in the heart of Burgundy, is a town full of charm. It’s ideal for those who enjoy wandering through historic streets, admiring timeworn stone buildings, and exploring religious architecture that’s as impressive as it is peaceful. In short, the perfect spot for heritage lovers and slow-paced strolls… just like us!
Cela faisait longtemps que nous nous étions promis de faire une halte à Cluny, avec en tête un objectif principal : visiter sa célèbre abbaye bénédictine, fondée en 910, qui a marqué l’histoire religieuse et culturelle de l’Europe.
Dès notre arrivée, une première bonne surprise : un immense parking à l’entrée de la ville, bien pratique pour éviter le casse-tête habituel du stationnement.
Cluny, nichée au cœur de la Bourgogne, est une ville pleine de charme. Elle est idéale pour ceux qui aiment flâner dans des ruelles chargées d’histoire, admirer de belles pierres patinées par le temps et découvrir une architecture religieuse aussi impressionnante que paisible. Bref, un endroit parfait pour des amateurs de patrimoine et de balades tranquilles… comme nous !
