It is a very abundant species and easy to observe and is one of the most popular species of birds because it has a melodious song and can imitate the song of other birds, some mammals and human whistles. In the breeding season they become very aggressive in defending their nest, attacking other birds and making low flights until they touch the back of dogs and cats that approach their nest. Their diet is varied, including insects and fruits. They inhabit savannas, edges of forests, rural areas and parks and city squares.
