Languages exist for communication. Using language, we can share our thoughts with others, and we can interact with people using language. We learn our native language without any kind of trouble as from our birth time we keep hearing and learning about the language and naturally we are able to learn about the language even if it’s difficult. After native language we usually learn English language as it’s known as international language and people gives priority for its importance as it is a common language to connect with people of overall world without using any translator. Besides, the translators can’t translate accurately.
We don’t pay attention to how we learn any language as we learn about it casually and constantly. But some people think that some languages are easy to learn and some languages are quite difficult to learn. Why is it like that? If that’s true, which is the easiest language and which is the difficult one to learn? What’s your thoughts related to it? Today I am discussing the topic and hope that you will also share your thoughts related to it.
I am from Bangladesh and from the childhood time I know the Bangla language quite well and it was natural. Now I can talk in English, and I can communicate with others using the language. In my country I didn’t speak English but from the childhood time in academic lesson learning English was compulsory and perhaps it’s the same in other countries also as it’s an international language. Besides higher education in my country requires English language and that’s they the learning process of English started from the time we started our academic activities. Instead of it all of us don’t have a good grief on the English language because if we don’t use English language our knowledge related to English language are limited in academic purposes.
Was English an easy language for me to learn? Honest I never thought English was something tough for me from my childhood time. I was always good but most of the students fear English and fail in it because they don’t even understand the meaning of the language which is understandable. So, it may be easy for me but it’s difficult for others. I learned English gradually and didn’t face any difficulties but before learning English I learned Hindi and Urdu language. I learned both languages effortlessly. I used to see cartoons and movies in those languages and both languages are very close my Bengali language. So, while watching cartoons and movies I learned both languages little by little just from TV.
Now I watch Japanese Anime and Chinese Donghua, Chinese and Korean drama a lot. With time I learned few sentences of Japanese, Chinese and Korean that are used frequently there. Those languages were not so close to my language, that’s why I didn’t learn about those languages like I easily learned Hindi and Urdu languages. In my opinion no languages are easy and no languages are hard. If any language has similarities with our native language, we can learn it easily and when it’s not the case, I find it hard to learn the language. That’s all I think about other languages. Who knows English may find it easy to learn Spanish and German language. Don’t you think so?
