Artemisa is a Cuban municipality, which contains the capital city of the province of Artemisa. Before 2011 it was one of 19 municipalities and the largest and most populated of the former Havana Province. Artemisa belonged to the province of Havana from 1970 to 2010. From 1878 (when the provinces were created in Cuba) until 1969 it belonged to the Province of Pinar del R铆o. It has an area of 642.0 square kilometres and a population of over 85 000 inhabitants (2017). In my previous post I mentioned that I was visiting this province for work, where I made a short summary. For some time now I have been feeling an attraction for photographs taken in everyday situations, everyday moments that many might call boring. No matter what we use for this, from a good Cannon EOS 1DX Mark II camera to a smartphone, whether professional or amateur, it is enough to transform every moment into a meaningful and memorable event.
What may seem routine and boring to some may seem fascinating to others. Use the everyday to your advantage, find a way to make it engaging, photogenic and intriguing. Take your camera everywhere, not just to specific, scheduled locations, try to take captivating photos in your daily routine, your neighbourhood, a servi, a supermarket, a pizzeria, a park.... endless options. For me this is the best way to portray the everyday and make fun photos.
A street sign, people in conversation or those you pass every day, an ordinary or ruined building can be beautiful if you photograph them in the right way.
Imagine you have a viewer who knows nothing about you and where you live; let's say you live in the middle of the countryside, your photographs will have to tell the rest of the world what it's like to live in such a place, you will speak to this person through your images.
There are those of us, I give myself as an example, who enjoy capturing a decisive moment, such as a smile or a look that comes spontaneously, it is that freedom of action as the main characteristic of beginners' photographs that makes them unique; such as immortalising the smile of a child chasing his pet or the tired look of a grandfather sitting watching life go by.
Photographing everyday life is an art that must be studied and improved through experience and a few tricks that you learn from professional people, becoming great observers of the smallest details; the light, the atmosphere, the expressions and the natural actions in order to be well represented when capturing the right moment for the photograph.
I've always felt that you don't necessarily have to have a plan for shooting, the plan is to shoot almost everything, the hard part is finding the shot you really want within the whole, although with practice it becomes less difficult.

En mi post anterior coment茅 que estuve visitando por cuestiones de trabajo esta provincia, donde hice un peque帽o res煤men. Desde hace ya un tiempo vengo sintiendo una atracci贸n por las fotograf铆as tomadas en situaciones cotidianas, momentos del d铆a a d铆a que muchos podr铆an tildar de aburridos. No importa que utilicemos para esto, desde una buena c谩mara Cannon EOS 1DX Mark II hasta un smartphone,seas profesional o amateur, basta con transformar cada momento en un evento significativo y memorable.
Lo que para algunos podr谩 parecer rutinario y aburrido para otros puede parecer fascinante. Usa la cotidianidad a tu favor, encuentra la manera de hacerla atractiva, fotog茅nica e intrigante. Lleva tu c谩mara a todas partes, no solo a lugares espec铆ficos y programados, trata de tomar fotos cautivadoras en tu rutina diaria, tu vecindario, un servi, un s煤permercado, una pizzer铆a, un parque... infinitas opciones. Para mi esta es la mejor manera de retratar la cotidianidad y realizar fotos divertidas.
Una se帽al en la calle, personas conversando o las que te cruzas a diario, un edificio com煤n o en ruinas pueden ser bellos si los fotograf铆as en el modo adecuado.
Imagina que tienes un espectador que no sabe nada de ti y de donde vives; supongamos que vivas en medio del campo, tus fotograf铆as tendr谩n que contar al resto del mundo como es vivir en un lugar as铆, le hablar谩s a este persona a trav茅s de tus im谩genes.
Hay quienes, me pongo como ejemplo, nos divertimos al capturar un momento decisivo, como una sonrisa o mirada que nace de forma espont谩nea, es esa libertad de acci贸n como caracter铆stica principal en las fotograf铆as de principiantes que las convierten en 煤nicas; como inmortalizar la sonrisa de un ni帽o persiguiendo a su mascota o la mirada cansada del abuelo sentado viendo la vida pasar.
Fotografiar la vida cotidiana es un arte que debe ser estudiado y mejorado a trav茅s de la experiencia y algunos que otros trucos que vayas aprendiendo de personas que sean profesionales, convertirnos en grandes observadores de los detalles m谩s peque帽os; la luz, el ambiente, las expresiones y las acciones naturales para as铆 estar bien representadas a la hora de capturar el instante adecuado para la fotograf铆a.
Siempre he considerado que no necesariamente hay que tener un plan para fotografiar, el plan es fotografiarlo casi todo, lo dif铆cil es encontrar dentro del todo la foto que realmente deseas, aunque con la pr谩ctica se hace menos dif铆cil.
