The Humans have a saying: Those who fail to learn from the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them. They also name Deregger CEO's as the epitome of willful ignorance. If there's anyone who would repeat the mistakes made by others, it's them.
Thousands of righteous souls set out to found an entire world based on their beliefs. Many of them did so whilst knowing that others had done so. Many more knowing what happened to those worlds. Even though they knew, they were warned, and they had people betting against them, they continued forward in their beliefs. Proving themselves grossly mistaken in the process.
There is no end to the lure of profit without other consequences.
There is no end to believing that this time will be different.
There is no end to Dereggers stubbornly doubling down to thumb their noses at the "soft left wing".
Those who go do not suffer the consequences. Those first generations revel in the glory of hard work and a doctrine of prosperity for all. It's those in much later generations who suffer.
Human history has frequently witnessed the corruption inherent in the ideal of infinite growth. It has also witnessed what happens when that infinite growth meets the wall of a closed system.
Too often, the people suffer for the leaders' abundance.
Some of us are tired of this pattern. We're tired of cleaning up generations of their mess. We don't need to be shown that they're morally right to pull their [EXCREMENT] on innocent believers. We already know how it's going to end.
So we're here to stop it before you start another one. We already know your argument. You know what the others did wrong. They were too weak. Too permissive. Too gentle.
You don't even know what gentle is.
See. The problem, the real problem, is that the Alliance has been too gentle with you. They've been too permissive with you.
So we've come to change your mind. Your way.
Admit that you're going to [FORNICATE] up just like all the others... or the beatings will continue.
Lesson one: infinite growth is impossible within a closed system.
