A: What did I say about demon summoning?!
B: You’ll never keep us apart!
A: I don’t care if your boyfriend is a demon, JUST STOP SUMMONING HIM THE CHURCH! Their blood and brimstone gets everywhere. And he's literally being incinerated by god light! -- Anon Guest
[AN: I do NOT know what happened, but I wound up working on a prompt scheduled for the distant future. Normal services will resume tomorrow. Apologies to everyone about this]
"I'll go through this one more time," sighed Edmar Britelit. "This is a temple for Aurorus, the god of light and hope."
"Da-a-a-ad..." sighed Cosima.
"Your boyfriend is the Demon Bolvoth, one of Aurorus' antagonists. I cannot stop the natural reaction that occurs when you summon him in temple grounds. Further, the summoning ritual is worse than explosive and you know this."
Cosima groaned and rolled her eyes. "You can't deny our love."
"Perhaps, but I can cast doubt into your care. You say you love this creature, but you repeatedly call him into this world in such a way that his mortal form is incinerated on entry."
"Maybe he's into it? You don't know. You've never talked to him."
"I'm a priest of Aurorus! My very presence hurts him! How? How can I possibly talk to him?"
"You just hate us! I'm moving out and becoming a Warlock."
Edmar took a deep breath. "Aurorus loves you, and so do I." At least when she moved out, there wouldn't be the need to clean the temple before Dawn Services.
Who knew? Maybe she would learn from her experiences. Starting with how nobody was going to cook for her or pick up her messes once she was living on her own.
