The person had been in that world as a "free demon" for some time now. Their friends, back on earth, realize they've not seen their friend for some time. They learn how to call their friends to that world and introduce them to the magic user that dragged them out of the "hell" that is earth and into that world, and how humans, apparently, have power there.

"So it's been a while, hi guys," the image in the app waved for the viewer. "You're probably wondering what's up with the Renfaire cosplay. Well, this is where it gets complicated..."
Bertie watched. So this was what had happened to their friend Mar. Considering the vast differences between the worlds, it was no shock that she stayed. Also... the Earth they knew was literally that reality's hell. "Should'a guessed, honestly," Bertie mumbled. It made so much sense. The oligarchy, the standards, the shitty hypocritical morals... the list went on and on.
"So. If you want to have super-demonic powers in a way better reality, Uh... the way the spell works is that the warlock needs a name. A real name. Your truest name, as it happens, and then -boom- you can make their wishes come true and you can make a deal. It's way easier than working five jobs just to pay the rent." Once more, Mar gestured with her arms, showing off the silver bracelets. "It even comes with bling."
The comments section was filled with people leaving a single name and messages akin to, Sign me up lol. Many of those people had seemingly vanished from the face of the Earth. A mystery that was starting to panic the evil corporate overlords.
Bertie wrote a letter and packed a knapsack. According to Mar, the 'demons' had perfect health on the other side, but they were taking no chances. They left the letter where it would be found and joined the lengthy list of people who didn't want to live on this sucky planet any more.
All over the world, the underpaid, underappreciated, and over-abused vanished. The link to Mar's video was suspected to be a gateway for a Human Trafficking Ring, but none of the leads ever played out.
Investigators who signed up under assumed names never found out where or when people were vanishing. Those who actually used a true name came back with an astonishing story to tell. One that other detectives never believed. One that the wealthy 'job creators' didn't want to believe.
The news wanted bodies. They wanted their interns to stop vanishing. They wanted their burgers flipped, but didn't want to pay the people flipping them. Queues for coffee shops, run solely by the managers now, went around blocks. Landlords who had refused to fix their ghetto apartments now could no longer find tennants to fill them.
The only people who were mildly happy about the situation were the Supremecists. At least until they found out that there were no more "lesser" people to do the work they didn't want to do. They clashed with the Classists, who were already fighting with the Billionaires.
There were no more poor people to blame everything on any more. No middle class to bear the brunt of community expenses. No immigrants to point at and fault.
Hell was empty, and only the biggest devils remained.
In another world, all those who had grown sick of being less found themselves with so much more.
