I’ll defeat you with the power of friendships
And this gun I found -- Anon Guest
"Look at you," crowed the big bad. Sure of their win. Floating on the rising waves of their own ego. "Another puny mortal trying to best me. Do you not know I cannot be defeated by any weapon made by the hands of flesh?"
"Yeah, I knew," said the hero. "I also knew that necromancy and skeletons doing the work. Bones are still flesh."
"And yet you are here. Trying to defeat me. There is no such thing as a weapon not made by the hands of flesh. Even if you pick up a stone to throw, you have made it a weapon by throwing it. I cannot be defeated."
"So sure of yourself, aren't you?" The hero was messing around with what appeared to be a long polearm. Inserting a series of things into one end. A measure of powder. A wad of cloth. A small ball of dull metal, which was forced down with a long rod. "Unlike you, I have good friends on my side. Friends who helped me be here at all."
"Oh cute. You're going to defeat me with the power of fwiendthip..." the villain added a mocking lisp. "Whatever that thing is, it won't work. Made by the hands of flesh. But go on ahead. Use it. Satisfy yourself. Then I will destroy you, and your friends. And your families... and maybe your homelands. I'll decide when I get there."
"No you won't," said the hero. "This is a weapon made by a tinkerer who lost her hands some years before we met. She made iron ones to replace what she lost. Not the hands of flesh." The hero took careful aim. "Worth a shot."
Thunder rang through the throne room. A plume of smoke issued forth from the muzzle, and a weapon made with hands of metal ended the life of the allegedly unkillable villain.
The hero rescued their friends from the varied traps on their way out, off to fulfill another prophecy and doom another allegedly unkillable warlord.
