the Deregulation brothers meet and start to work with with the gentleman that bought trash worlds and developed them into resorts.
Being the Fiscal Empire of Lodalute IS still a deregulation, and given how suspicious Deregulations are of anything from the Alliance, they are happy (and only a little suspicious) to offload their waste, and walking assets onto another Deregulation.

Rejuvinator Tars made sure ze had a full security escort when the two brothers turned up. Lodalute was Deregger space and anyone with CEO rank from Deregger space was automatically trouble. Ze pulled some Intimidators as well as trained Station Security agents and at least one of them had trained with the Immortal Master Twii. Just in case they wanted to step up from bringing the funny business and launch into an outright comedy contest.
The brothers Lodalute - Nigel and Steve - arrived in rather plain suits by Deregger standards and absolutely no tricks. They also came with a contract drafted by the CRC with their full consent. This was, as far as Deregger empires were concerned, unprecedented. Tars went straight for the fine print. All properly in order. No loopholes. No weird wording. Not even a giggle's worth of funny business.
"I'm not selling my resort to you or any Dereggers," Tars said, making hir limits known up front. If they were true to type, they would throw an outraged tantrum and try to intimidate hir. Which was why what they did next was such a shock.
"We know. And we know we can't afford to hire you as a consultant using Standard Alliance rates," said Nigel Lodalute.
Steve had a holoprojector, "That's why we're offering you your choice of trashworlds that we have on the borders of our accepted territory. We'd like to learn your methods, transform the remaining trashworlds... and then profit off of other Deregger empires who are throwing away pure profits by the hour."
"You can't begin to bribe me into changing my min--" hir brain caught up with current events. "Wait. You're hiring me as a consultant?"
"Yeah. We're paying our workers as close to Galactic Standards as we can get, considering the relative value of our region's currency versus GalStand Time," said Nigel.
Steve brought up another hologram. "We're hoping to print these as residences on or near site. They meet the current CRC requirements for habitation. Not just singles, but also multiple residences."
Tarsin Blesson re-read the contract and looked over the specs of the trashworlds on offer. "And the rehabilitation of your employees?"
"We've already arranged for CRC therapists to assist with that. A portion of profits will be going to their pay at their discretion."
This was... not the Deregger way. "You'll be operating at a straight loss for five years. By Deregger standards, that's insanity."
Steve Lodalute said, "By Galactic Standards, it's just catching up on righting an enormous wrong. We should break even by second generation if we do it right."
By 'break even' they meant - and this was in their long-term plan - reach a parallel with the Alliance ways of doing things. If nothing else, it would be very interesting to watch.
"It will be a pleasure doing business with you," said Tars. "For a very nice change."
