here, have a rick roll -- Anon Guest
[AN: Link does not lead to a Rickroll but rather a six-second anime clip featuring someone's mondo BFG power attack]
Human Memetic attacks are something to watch. Preferably from a safe distance. Everyone knows the one about the attacking fleet that was brought to a standstill by the power of a Rickroll virus[1]. Thusly, they have learned to feat the threat of bringing Humans into any war.
Those gung-ho balding apes will try anything to win and then laugh. Memetic attacks are -at least to the Humans- only used when a no-kill situation arises. There's so many Memetic attacks, at varying levels of annoyance. Only Humans could invent the Rickroll. Only Humans could then create the anti-Rickroll. The memetic attack that promises one and then delivers another.
It's bad enough to be exposed to pre-shattering pop from the decade even the Humans labelled as the one without taste. It's worse to brace for the pop and then get whatever else the Humans responsible thought was funny at the time.
Among their many other bizarre qualities, the Human race is singular in having the weirdest senses of humour. Individually and en masse.
This, of course, has lead to memetic attack competitions among UFTP vessels. Once a month, some footage is chosen with whatever setup they deem necessary, mixed well with something unearthed or rediscovered by the Archivaas.
Which, in turn, has lead to a thriving industry in figuring out which Human vessel is the most dangerous owing to their winning meme.
So far, Oh My Word This Tune is Annoying from Weebl's Stuff[2] has won the Verified Architect the award for two Standard years in a row.
Various treaties are currently being enacted in order to prevent the use of Humans in combat.
[1] Historians are quick to note that it was the virus, rather than the Rickroll itself, that did the damage. The programmer responsible assumed Deathworlder levels of paranoia in the attackers, and thereby managed to infect the enemy computers - all of the enemy computers - with ten thousand simultaneously- running copies of the virus, thus causing fatal crashes with no backups.
