Silently you left
Just as silently you came
You left a hole in my soul
There is no one but me to blame

Sleepless, at the end of the world
Far across the seas
I peer into the neon
wondering if you're thinking of me

They would not let me keep
The billiards lighter that you gave to me
I now have nothing
But they say nothing is free

I would write more if I could
But this is all that I can impart
The words of an insomniac
to the gypsy girl who stole his heart
