It's great that you have a certain day to honor those who died in military services. It's sad that you still have many soldiers dying all over the world. In my opinion, war is something that could be fully avoided and many deaths, both civil and military, could be prevented. But this is another broad subject :)

Time is changing. When I was working with teenagers we discussed what honor and dignity are nowadays. And what they mean to them. It turned out that these were extremely tough questions for all of us.
