Money, not people.

Reputation?

What age am I?

Anyone with enough money and the will to put it here, can whenever they want, take over the blockchain and control it as they like. They don't need to socialize, gather good reputation, be here at least for couple of months, or as a witness, be voted by many different individuals or accounts. With enough money you can get more money and you don't have to work for it at all. And with money you get power. With power you get more money and power.

Not saying that determining who the top 20 witnesses shall be solely based on the amount of voters, as all the options alone have their good and bad sides, but now that we know what can happen if the amount of votes, not voters nor reputation or age of the account in the blockchain is the only qualification to be in the top 20, are we and the witnesses willing to learn something out of this?

Never mind your opinion on who do you support right now. JS or the previous witnesses. Or anyone but. That is not the point of these screen captures.

But then again it is also the point.

After you've won. Or lost. And you continue your life. Perhaps with the idea of writing to some decentralized blockchain. Who do you think can develop and is willing to develop that blockchain to the decentralized and more independent direction where wealth and the power to decide are also in the hands of those who do not have high amounts of money to invest? Who do you think will just take their profit and money and run? Who do you think knows more about the blockchain to keep it alive and going on? Who do you think wants to keep Steem Steem and not change it to some other coin?

My opinion doesn't matter.

Your opinion doesn't matter.

What has promised doesn't matter.

Facts matter. Search and read facts. Pieces of history.

What people have actually done before all this matters. What has promised AND fulfilled matters.

After all this has passed think about who you can influence more with you opinions about the blockchains future. About your future and well being. If you care about the blockchain and decentralization. Or your future. Do you care about that?
