Capitano had forced his people back into the Ley Lines which are the lifeblood of the planet. The reason these guys were forced out to begin with though was that they were heavily infected with the Abyss, a very destructive force we've been combatting since the game launched. It would have been really cool.
Instead they kinda let that storyline die and then they went off on a really wild tangent that didn't really make sense. So now they decided to loop back to this storyline but the setup is gone. Instead of the Capitano thing, we now have his teammate Dottore who just went into the Ley Lines himself, doesn't have any kind of destructive attribute infecting him, it's just him and not an army of infected humans and he just died like normal to get back so there shouldn't have been any issue at all under normal logic. Apparently he's just so clever or something and that's how he did it? The logic here is really shaky.
Anyway this episode starts us off with a cliche switcheroo scenario where our beloved characters have swapped roles and we get to run around figuring out who's who. After that they're evacuating a whole side of the country to the other side even though both sides are being affected by the situation so the move is pointless and very chaotic.
It's not going to get better from here lol. Buckle up!
