The glass house.

In a TV studio, a reality show was being signed live. They had recruited a group of seven models who would participate for two weeks, where they would all live together and exhibit the outfits created by the best clothing designers in the country. They would be tested on their posture, expressions and walk in passartization.

The seven beautiful ladies were inside the stage, standing firm, erect like the models they were. their surroundings were a glass house with extraordinary rooms comparable to the best hotels. As the hours passed, for some unknown reason, the cooling system shut down. Melissa and the other members felt a suffocating heat. She is a tall, beautiful, green-eyed woman who, like the others, seeks recognition. She felt tense, found it hard to hold her posture, the color suffocated her, but refused to complain. She went to the living room table, picked up a magazine and, flipping through the pages as if she were reading them, she absently fanned herself.

Everyone had to keep up their appearance, and many of the girls devised ways to cope with the excessive temperature, but as the minutes passed, it became increasingly unbearable.

Veronica Herrera, a dancing model with smaller stature, black hair and eyes, said:

"Girls, I can't stand this heat anymore, what's wrong?"

The rest of the girls remained unmoved, maintaining the aesthetic glamour. Melissa thought, maybe there was a glitch offstage. She approached the wall and put her hands in a hoop on the glass, so she could see through the glass. She saw that the place was empty, devoid of cameramen and staff, at least in that part of the studio. The other models were just watching Melissa sliding her face on her hands all over the glass wall, until she spoke in amazement.

"We are alone, there is no one outside".

All of them, looked at each other, frowning, outraged by the heat, ran to confirm Melissa's warning; some started banging on the windows, others shouted for help, but no one answered them. The agitation suffocated them even more, leaving some girls sitting on the floor with their backs against the wall, others kept trying to break the glass with chairs, sticks or any blunt object. Nothing was working.

"Wait, calm down," shouted Sally, a model in her fifties who, although much older than the other girls, is still very elegant and pretty. Catching everyone's attention, she said.

"Don't you see it's very hard, it won't break, save your energy. Sooner or later it will come for us, something happened that they had to get out of here. Let's not worry".

He looked at the tired young women, their clothes damp with sweat dripping all over their bodies, and suggested:

"I saw a hose in the shed, take it for a bath, so we can cool off a bit."

They also got a good sized portable pool, which they placed against the glass. Veronica sported straight hair, which when wet fluffed up like a lion's mane. Makeup and vanity were put on the back burner, they all concentrated on surrendering at the first moment someone from the studio approached, but no one came in all day, spending the night in the glass house.

Melissa woke up and the first thing she did was to go outside to see if anyone was there to help them, when she looked out the window there was no sign of life in the studio. The booth was still empty, the studio remained untouched like the day before.
Zahori, an Asian model, asked for her friend:

"Good morning, Melissa, I can't find Mariza, have you seen her?".

"When was the last time you saw her?".

"Last night before I went to sleep, when I woke up she was gone".

Everyone started looking for her and their fears were confirmed. A model had disappeared.

Sally, who also participated in the search, said:

"Maybe she'll find a way out, if so, they'll come after us."

Waiting for Mariza, they waited one more day and, the next morning, they found another girl missing. The event made it clear to them that Mariza, had not escaped, quite the contrary. Fear and uncertainty gripped their thoughts.

The tearful voice of the Zahorí, was heard.

"What happened to Mariza, I don't want to disappear tonight, I don't want to be next" covering her face with both hands she sat on a chair."

"Sally comforted her by saying, "I won't let you disappear. Tonight we'll all watch in shifts."

Then she picked up a disposable knife and, looking at it, asked them all.

"Shall we look for something we can use as a weapon?"

The models nodded their heads.

They had nothing except some sharp pieces of plastic that had jumped out of some plastic chairs they broke trying to escape.

As the night progressed, the girl who had been on the last watch did not wake up with them, and she was the third one missing. Melissa, with a scowl, a furious look on her face and her green eyes like those of a rabid cat, expressed her anger.

"We need to get out of this hellhole as soon as possible."

She picked up a microwave and threw it against the floor several times until it broke. He flexed its brass frame over and over until he dislodged a piece. He tried to open the door with it, but in doing so hurt his hand.

"Damn it," he exclaimed.

"There's got to be a way out of here, I don't know, a passageway maybe, fake pottery, move the refrigerator, there's got to be a way out."

All the girls searched the house. After so much searching, they couldn't find a way out.

Veronica, who could see night approaching, became desperate.

"Why are they doing this to us?"

Her black eyes crystallized with tears. She went to the courtyard and saw on the artificial grass the piece of brass that Melissa had used, and immediately picked it up. Melissa, Sally and Zahorí shouted in unison, "! Don't do it!"

"Don't do what?" asked Melissa in confusion.
Sally, with wide eyes and hands covering her mouth, replied.

"Don't hurt yourself, you're still too young"

Veronica looked at everyone's face

I'm not suicidal" then he put his shoulders together and said.
"Far from it, what I want is to break this astroturf, here we haven't tried it yet".

And there was a door, which when they opened, they found a staircase leading to a long corridor. At the end there was a light, they walked the four girls carefully, a male voice was heard.

"Come in."

It was the program director who upon seeing them congratulated them.

"You are the four winners, congratulations, it was all broadcast live."

"What happened to the girls who disappeared?" asked Sally.

"They're fine, the audience voted, and they were taken off stage while you were sleeping."

Melissa responded along with a slap.

"How dare you put us under so much stress, who do you think you are? You keep your prize. I'm out of here."

And as they left they were met with a cheering crowd along with the other three models who had been disqualified. But they walked among them very angry.
