Yes you can make a profit, but after curation it is something like between 6% to 10% depending on a number of factors, like voting power. There is an update with actual figures on the minnowbooster blog

On this post I upvoted by 2.3SBD and the rewards are as follows: 1.08 SBD, 0.50 STEEM, 1.16 SP ...and that is before curation. In USD it looks like this: 2.3SBD = 2.85 USD Rewards: 1.08 SBD = 1.35 USD

I sent 3 SBD in upvotes (3.96USD) and after curation (SBD+STEEM+SP) will receive 4.10USD and with price fluctuations, it is not really profitable.

Hi You say 35% profit AFTER CURATION.. however I am actually only receiving about 1.5x my upvote value, that is, if I upvote by 0.2SBD the actual vote is around 0.3USD and after curation it isn't profitable.
