Howdy! I'll start with about myself here. I have a long-term relationship with paper MTG hahaa. I've been brewing decks for longer then I care to remember. I don't play MTGA anymore, because 2 little GEMS caught my interest. (I still play commander once a month, and boy do I bring the janky combos)
Spinterlands first. As it brought me into the fold of the blockchain world. I love the market that PeakMonsters has made. But, I'm happy that some community posts brought me to Gods Unchained. Its really more fitting gameplay for me then Splinterlands could ever be. I still keep money parked in Spinterlands. I believe they are a great on-boarding tool for the crypto world.
So, I've played GU for about 2 months now. I've learned the meta and really started exploring the brewing side of things. To be real, in all the TCGs I can think of, making decks was far more fun then playing for me.
I've just completed the WR with 11 wins in mythic with The BackStreet Boys v1. A janky deception deck, super aggro with Dark Knives, Assassins aim, Selfless guild mate, Merrick Keeper of the Many, and Head or Tails. It was WILDY fun. I actually OTKed a BWD. With Merrik and Shadow Pally in play (after sleeping for a turn or 2) I poped off 2 selfless, a dark knife, and an assassins aim on the pally. It was something to behold. I also won a game on turn 4, lethal, playing second.
Only thing is, bad hands happened too often. Plus nature was a problem. So, back to the drawing board. At the end of the day I've got BackStreet Boys 2.0! Less aggro, more interaction, more cards, and more Guild!
Its still a threat early if nothing is dealt with, handles nature much better then the hidden rush version, and seems to run fairly well in this meta.
The BackStreet Boys 2.0 <3
Dollar value upgrades could be playable in this deck. Iron-tooth goblin, and Orfeo are both guild. And The Hollow will fetch you more guild creatures.
