Festival Lima Teje 5° edición _ 2025 || Lima Teje festival 5th edition

Este fin de semana participé com voluntaria en la 5° edición del Festival Lima Teje. Me encantó ver gente de distintas edades sintiendo ese amor por el tejido. También conocí a diseñadores de Perú, Argentina, Brasil, Colombia y Chile.

This weekend I participated as a volunteer in the 5th edition of the Lima Teje Festival. I loved seeing people of different ages feeling that love for knitting. I also met designers from Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Chile.

Talleres

Los Talleres estuvieron interesantes, cada diseñador tenía técnicas distintas. Era como una enseñanza personalizada. Los estudiantes salían animosos y con ganas de seguir aplicando lo aprendido. En esta sala, hubieron talleristas y estudiantes nacionales e internacionales. Aquí los temas de algunos talleres:

• Personalización y acabados mágicos para tu amigurumi con Danidiro.
• Tejido en vertical con decorazonesdeco.
• Intarsia y movimiento con Paul.
• Jacquard doble en 2 agujas con dgtejidosymas.
• Prendedor de jardín de flores en pedrería con Tamara.
• Chaleco en telar, 2 agujas y crochet con Tejidos Celemar.
• Taller de creación de vestidos con Marié Castro.

The workshops were interesting, each designer had different techniques. It was like personalised teaching. The students left with enthusiasm and a desire to continue applying what they had learnt. In this room, there were national and international workshop participants and students.

Charlas libres

Este año hubo más charlas libres. Me las ingenié para asistir a las charlas sobre fibras de alpaca, teñido de prendas y a la charla de Marié Castro, quien enseñó a tejer un bolso a crochet.

This year there were more free talks. I managed to attend the talks on alpaca fibres, garment dyeing and the talk by Marié Castro, who taught how to crochet a bag.

La Plaza l

Aquí estuvieron los productos terminados, desde accesorios hasta prendas de vestir. También hubo productos con técnicas mixtas como bordados, joyas en plata, adornos decorativos en macramé, entre otros. Aquí algunos accesorios cuyos colores festivos, tipos de puntadas y texturas llamaron mí atención.

Here were the finished products, from accessories to clothing. There were also products with mixed techniques such as embroidery, silver jewellery and decorative macrame ornaments. Here are some accessories whose festive colors, stitch types and textures captured my attention.

La Plaza ll

Las prendas tejidas es una de esas cosas que quiero aprender y ver esto me llena de inspiración. Desde los puntos utilizados, la combinación de colores hasta las texturas de los hilados que usa el diseñador y tejedor.

Woven garments are one of those things I want to learn about and seeing this fills me with inspiration. From the stitches used, the color combinations to the textures of the yarns used by the designer and weaver.

Sponsor y expositores

En esta sala estaban ubicados los expositores, es decir las tiendas con materiales y herramientas de tejido. También ofrecían kits para iniciar en bordado y tejido de muñecos. Entre los Sponsor (aliados del Festival) estaban marcas de hilados muy reconocidas del país y una entidad del estado "Agromercado", con gente de los Andes (Puno y Arequipa) quienes mostraban el proceso de obtención de las fibras de alpaca.

In this room were located the tents with weaving materials and tools. They also offered kits for beginners in embroidery and doll weaving. Among the Sponsors (allies of the Festival) were well known yarn brands of the country and a state entity ‘Agromercado’, with people from the Andes (Puno and Arequipa) who showed the process of obtaining alpaca fibres

Equipo de voluntarios

Este año decidí conocer gente del rubro tejeril y en eso estoy. Desde diseñadores hasta tejedores quienes están iniciando a tejer ya sea en 2 palitos (2 agujas) o a crochet. Este año estuve ambos días y me voy mas que feliz por conocer gente de diversas partes del Perú y del mundo. Espero pronto asistir a un taller o dar una charla libre, jaja.

Por otro lado, me encanta ser parte de estos eventos que representen al país, concoer lo que hay detrás de la organización. Conocer de cerca a los ponentes (en este caso talleristas) y darle esa comodidad de estar en casa...

This year I decided to meet people in the knitting industry and that's what I'm doing. From designers to weavers who are starting to knit either on 2 sticks (2 needles) or crochet. This year I was there both days and I am more than happy to meet people from different parts of Peru and the world. I hope soon to attend a workshop or give a free talk, jaja.

Also, I love to be part of these events that represent the country, to know what is behind the event's organisations. Getting to know the speakers (in this case the workshop participants) up close and giving them the comfort of being at home...
