Can't there be protest without killing of protesters in Nigeria?
So enough that thousand of Nigerian youths lost the lives in protesting for their constitutional rights. There's a lot of protests which rises as the result of inability of Nigerian Government to do what they supposed to do both for the peace of nation, progress, growth and development. And as such, the citizens suffered the set in terms of insecurity, Economics breakdown, lack of health facilities, mismanagement of public funds, prolonged and delay in payment of gratuity and pension to retirees and poor state education like the dragging Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) who went for strike over five months now, shutting down all federal universities in Nigeria.
When the citizens considered the kind of suffering they are receiving from the same people they believed in by voting them into the public offices took the street to show their dissatisfaction but sad enough, they often got from the struggle is killing by the police officers who couldn't faced terrorists in the same country but only have power over innocent citizens on a peaceful protest to demonstrate their state of mind over their failed government.
The protesters didn't withdraw their strength in speaking the truth irrespective of the mass killings that trending in carrying out the act. One of such was the EndSARS protests where the youths of Nigeria demanded to an end over the years of an unending police brutality. The youths in Nigeria have suffered so much in the hands of police brutality for a longer time, they couldn't remains silent over the unwelcoming development whereby, they were pushed demand for justice. It was too much the the young Nigerians after years of constant harassment and brutality by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) unit of the Nigerian police, set up in 1984 to tackle an increasing rise in armed robbery but they seems to combat with innocent youths by embarrassing, them while going through their normal duties. Meanwhile, the Nigerian youths couldn't absorbed the pains and humiliation thereby took it to the street across Nigeria since it was national disease.
