Internet fraudsters popularly known as scammers have long been on the crypto space. They have made it difficult for people to trade, invest or go about any business safely.

One can lose all of one's hard earned money in the twinkling of an eye to fraudsters if one is not aware of how they operate. One can actually avoid them if one is forewarned but in most cases, one has to have the experiences before one can actually know how to avoid them.

Fraudsters are present in all social media platforms be it WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, Telegram and Facebook. One has to be extra careful to be safe from this people. One thing is that sometimes, we are caught unawares and sometimes, it will be like they charmed one to get away with one's money. In any case, one has to be careful because in this space, no one really knows the identity of the other.

MY EXPERIENCES WITH FRAUDSTERS.

The truth is that fraudsters are part of the crypto space and we cannot completely do without them. We only need to always be cautious and be at alert to their call while dealing in the crypto and the internet at large. Anyone who has no been scammed in crypto has not even started. One has to experience it to deal well with it. If we say the truth, we all have been victim, except it was just recently you started. I have been a victim of crypto scams severally even though I didn't fall for their schemes all the time.

One Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter and most especially Telegram, I have come in contact with scammers. Let me share some of these with you.

My Telegram Experiences
Sometimes last year, I joined a Crypto P2P group on Telegram. I followed the group activities for a while to see if it was legit. I asked some questions from some of the group members. They all confirmed that it was legit. So I made my first trade and it was successful. I made some cool amount. As I was about to make the second, I thought to inquire from my brother. He told me not to continue because he was sure it won't end well. I was a afraid so I declined the second trade.

What actually got my interest was the rate I could buy USDT. It was very much lower than what was on Binance.

My recent experience was a Telegram link I saw on Twitter and joined. According to their description, It's a Kucoin crypto pump group on telegram. They said they give signals for a crypto that is going to do 400 to 3000 times. Like the price increase was going to be so.
I joined the group, monitored their past activities and felt it was legit from what I saw. So I decided to give it a try. I deposited money into my Kucoin account and waited for their signal. When the signal came, the coin that was to be bought was named, so I rushed to buy. I discovered, the coin has already done 400+X, but since they said it was going to do 2000X, I proceed to buy.

Immediately I bought, it made some upward movement and dropped little by little until I couldn't sell at loss because I felt it was too much. I waited for days, even close to a week but, no way, it kept ranging at the price it fell to. I was forced to sell after a while but it was at a loss.

At that point, I already knew the group was all scam. But I decided to go for the second time at their next signal. I thought to approach it wisely though.

I monitored the group until they dropped their signal. I didn't buy until the coin fell to a reasonable level but I still fell for their tricks because after I bought, the coin fell more. I lost some money still.

Aside that, I have constantly received messages on Telegram from people that I don't know. One was telling me to invest in a platform I didn't have any idea or where it is.

One also told me he was contemplating about two platform that he needed my opinion. When I told him I didn't have any idea, he told me he would find out and get back to me. Like I asked him for anything in the first place.

Crypto Scam is in all social media platforms but it is more rampant on Telegram. Just be careful using these platforms.

On WhatsApp I have had series of chats from people people I didn't know from Adam, trying to convince me to join one crypto platform or the other. I have ignored some, while I flowed with some and stopped abruptly along the line.

All the images I shared are just a few of the many times I have encountered scammers on the crypto space.

To avoid crypto scams, one need to know what he or she is doing, be focused, do research before venturing into a new field in crypto and also do research about coins before investing or trading them.

I shared this to caution people here especially newbies on this space so they don't fall victims.

I hope this post is useful to this community, thank you 馃檹.
