Yesterday I found myself in downtown Vancouver walking along Robson street, sun shining, perfect puffy clouds, and I took a moment to breathe, enjoy and journal my joy.

As I walked I saw some of my favourite features and fixtures and felt grateful.

Recently, I have been overwhelmed by the negativity and darkness of the looming fiat failure of the USD; It seems so certain and soon.

Just the other day I was talking with a friend and shared, "it seems like I see this car crash coming and I'm desperate to do what I can to stop it, or at least minimize the resulting chaos through education and preparation".

It all seems so deep, dark and overwhelming. But despite what tomorrow may hold, today is filled with beauty...

As a result recently my content, my research and media diet have been dark and weighty, doomy and gloomy.

That's why as I walked, sun on my shoulders, through beautiful Vancouver, including historic Robson and later Granville, I felt it necessary to stop and take a moment of gratitude for the peace, serenity and joy of today.

We never know what tomorrow will bring, and yes it may be dark, so today I wanted to stop and stand in the moment, grateful and content for the now.

Dark, doom and gloom is not how I aim to define my heart, mind and life and therefore I took today to reset my gratitude. Tomorrow might be bad, but today is lovely...

As always thank you for your time and attention. Have a lovely day, filled with family, friends and fun. God bless.

Matthew 6:25-34 (ESV)

Do Not Be Anxious

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?[a] 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
