Hello everyone! After a short break, I’m back with another update on this game, which keeps getting more and more interesting to me. I had already been meaning to take a closer look at some of the cards that were different from the ones I usually see, and as it happens, an opportunity came up—so today, I’ll show you how lucky we got while opening our very first Gladius pack.
This was largely thanks to the Brawls; even though we aren’t earning SPs—partly due to not having a spellbook—we have been receiving "merits." I had often wondered what these were for or how we could use them, so after accumulating a fair amount, the option to purchase "Gladius packs" became available to us—which came as a complete surprise. After looking into it a bit more, we decided to explore further, and sure enough, we had enough merits to get a pack, so we went ahead and did it.
Once everything was ready, we proceeded to open them. The first thing that caught my eye was the unique design of these cards—the backs are quite striking. To be honest, I didn’t know what to expect; we didn’t use any specific positioning or rituals to try and boost our luck—we just relied on chance. Well, several things about these five cards really surprised me, so let’s take a look at what we got.
The first card we obtained is Alva the Crusher, a common-rarity, Water-element Gladius card; it has 6 mana, 3 armor, 6 health, 2 speed, and 2 melee attack, and it possesses two abilities: Bloodlust and Shield.
Next up is Bertrol Gobson, a common-rarity card with the Earth element. It has 2 mana, 3 health, 3 speed, and 1 melee attack point, and it possesses two abilities: Bloodlust and Opportunity.
Next is Hugo Strongsword, a common-rarity Gladius card of the Life element; it has a mana cost of 5, 3 shield, 6 health, 2 speed, and 1 melee attack, and its abilities are Bloodlust and Shield.
Next up is the Witch of Warwick card, a common-rarity card of the Death element; it has a mana cost of 5, 2 health, 1 speed, and 2 magic attack, and possesses the Bloodlust and Life Leech abilities.
And finally, as a stroke of luck, we pulled a gold-foil card: Cutter Brieze—a rare-tier Gladius card with the Earth element. It has 1 mana, 2 health, 5 speed, and 1 ranged attack, and it possesses the Bloodlust ability.
So, well, you could say we got lucky with this first pack. It’s interesting that they all share the same "Bloodlust" ability; as I understand it, these cards are meant for use under specific rulesets. I’ll be keeping an eye out for opportunities to use them and see how they perform on the battlefield. Anyway, that’s all for now—I hope you enjoyed this, and thank you very much for reading!
