Tasting an interesting Morena beer +Video | #BeerSaturday [ENG/ESP]

Hi everyone, this is my first time participating in the #BeerSaturday Challenge, and I wanted to do a quick review of a beer I've been wanting to try for quite some time. I'd seen it in commercials and stores, wondering when the right time was to try it. Well, taking advantage of the opportunity on an outing with my sister, we went to the right place—a place in the center of my city where we go regularly—and I was able to buy it there.

Hola a todos, esta es mi primera participación en el #BeerSaturday Challenge y quise hacerlo con una pequeña review de una cerveza que tenía bastante tiempo queriendo probar. La había visto en comerciales y tiendas, pensando en el momento correcto para degustarla y, bueno, aprovechando que se dio la oportunidad en una salida con mi hermana, fuimos al sitio adecuado, un local en el centro de mi ciudad donde vamos cada cierto tiempo, y pude allí adquirirla.

To start, let me introduce you to Morena beer. It was launched here in Venezuela a little over a year ago by the company "Cervecería Regional." It's been a well-known brand for years, causing quite a stir and causing a stir among many. It comes in several formats, both in bottles and two cans, as well as a malt version for those who don't drink alcohol.

Para empezar, les presento a la cerveza Morena. Esta salió al mercado acá en Venezuela hace poco más de un año, por parte de la empresa "Cervecería Regional", siendo una marca muy conocida por años, por lo que causó bastante revuelo y curiosidad por muchos, y viene en varias presentaciones, tanto en formato de botella como en dos formatos de latas, así como también una versión malta para los que no toman alcohol.

This beer has 5.0% alcohol, and I found the design and color of the can to be quite pretty and very vibrant compared to other brands I've seen. This one cost $1.20 for a 355 ml can, which was the only one I could find. I was tempted to get two to share with my mom or grandma, but I wanted to get a good taste of it first, as well as recreate the habit of sharing something we used to do some time ago.

Esta cerveza tiene 5.0° de alcohol, y su presentación en cuanto a diseño y color de la lata me pareció bastante linda y muy vibrante con los colores en comparación con otras marcas que he podido ver. El costo de esta fue de 1.20$ la lata de 355 ml que fue la que pude encontrar, y estuve tentada en tomar dos para compartir con mi mamá o mi abuela, pero primero quería probar bien su sabor antes, así como recrear un poco la costumbre de probar entre ambas una cosa que hacíamos hace algún tiempo.

The sound when opening it was simply relaxing, even exciting, and to pour it, I chose a large Coca-Cola glass that I'd been wanting to use at some point, and it seemed perfect. As for the aroma, I found it not strong, but quite imposing, very easy to detect. As for the color, I was surprised by its amber color; it wasn't too dark, but not too light either, a very caramel tone. And equally, the sound when pouring was simply unique (all of this was recorded in the short video to share the experience).

El sonido al momento de abrirla fue simplemente relajante, incluso emocionante, y para servirla elegí un vaso de Coca-Cola grande que justo quería llegar a utilizar en algún momento y me pareció perfecto. En cuanto a aroma, sentí que era no fuerte, pero bastante imponente, muy fácil de detectar. En cuanto a color, me sorprendió lo ámbar de este; no era tan oscura, pero tampoco clara, un tono muy acaramelado. E igualmente, el sonido al servir fue simplemente único (todo esto grabado en el pequeño video para compartir la experiencia).

Now, as for flavor, I must say that my first taste was a slightly toasted blend, even a little bitter, and with each sip, these flavors were definitely accentuated. I mean, it's not as strong in flavor as, for example, Polar Negra, or even one I tried called Andina, which I hope to bring you soon, but you could still taste hints of malt in this one.

Ahora bien, en cuanto a sabor, debo de decir que mi primera degustación fue una mezcla de un toque tostado, incluso un poco amarga, y con cada trago, sin duda, se acentuaban estos sabores; es decir, no es fuerte en sabor como, por ejemplo, la Polar Negra, o incluso una que llegué a probar llamada Andina, que espero poder traerles pronto, pero aun así se podía sentir toques de malta en esta.

Likewise, as for the foam, it was quite dense and creamy, without any sensation of covering up the flavor, and it also had a very noticeable carbonation and a bit of bubbly, something that still persisted after a while after serving, which I think is a very good point in its favor.

Así mismo, en cuanto a espuma, era bastante densa y cremosa, para nada con esa sensación de tapar el sabor, así como también tenía muy presente lo carbonatada y algo burbujeante, cosa que luego de un tiempo de haber servido aún persistía, lo cual creo que es un muy buen punto a favor.

I feel like it would definitely be a good companion to a hearty meal, even fried food, as it would go so well together. I even had the original plan to have it as my companion, along with a delicious pizza that I shared with my sister, which would have been fantastic, but due to various factors, it couldn't be, so I shared this beer in the afternoon with my sister for a moment of conversation and my cats, who were very attentive, watching everything.

Siento que sin duda sería un buen acompañante para alguna comida fuerte, incluso alguna fritura, ya que combinaría muy bien. Incluso en el plan original estaba que fuera mi acompañante junto con una deliciosa pizza que compartí con mi hermana y que se hubiera quedado genial, pero por diversos factores no pudo ser, por lo que esta cerveza la compartí en la tarde junto a mi hermana en un rato de conversación y mis gatos, que estaban muy pendientes mirando todo.

Equally clear, as my mom wanted, she also tried it and found its flavor distinct and different, but only just. For her, it was light, yet bitter at the same time; however, she said it's perfect for quenching thirst and heat, so she gave it a thumbs-up. In my case, I would buy it again, but only for a moment with a burger, or so my uncles and grandma could try it too and give me their opinion.

Igualmente claro que, como quería mi mamá, también la probó y su opinión fue que su sabor se le hizo distinto y diferente, pero por muy poco. Para ella fue ligera, pero amarga a la vez; sin embargo, dijo que para calmar la sed y el calor va perfecta, por lo que le dio un aprobado y, en mi caso, sí la volvería a comprar, pero para un momento con alguna hamburguesa o para que mis tíos y abuela la prueben también y me den su opinión.
