Want to impress your teacher? Or, maybe you just want to be the best student of this school year. Whatever the reasons that make you want to be the best student in the class, there are some things you need to do to improve yourself. Being a good student is not just about getting the best grades, but it also has to be a good person and be able to show the teachers that you really care when they teach in the classroom.

  1. Prepare your brain and body to learn. You can just be the best and live the most fun school period if your body is ready to learn! There are several things you need to do to prepare your body, for example by:
Sufficient sleep. You should get enough sleep to get your brain working as well as possible. You have to stay in a condition most awake throughout the day. If sleepy after lunch, this means you are sleep deprived. Almost everyone should sleep at night for at least 8 hours.
Your body can not function properly if only eating unhealthy foods, such as chips, candy, and hamburgers. If you want to be the best student, eat vegetables (broccoli, for example), fruits, and low-protein meat (eg chicken and fish).

  2. Learn in the way that works best for you. Everyone has their own way to learn well, this is called learning style. [1] Find the learning that suits you best and make it your best. This will be easy for you to apply while studying at home, but you can suggest that your teacher teach in a way that can accommodate different learning styles.
For example, are you very easy to memorize charts or drawings? Maybe you are a visual learner. This means you will learn better by viewing many pictures or photographs. An example that might explain this is when you find it easier to memorize a speech by creating a chart.
Maybe you find it easier to learn while listening to soothing music. Or, you do not remember what your teacher wrote on the board, but still "heard" what he described as being with you right now. Maybe you are an auditory learner who is easier to learn by voice. Examples that can explain this is when you are easier to do homework or study at home while listening to the recording while your teacher is teaching in the classroom.

  3. Try to pay attention. The best way to improve value and learn more is to pay attention when your teacher explains. If your attention is easily distracted, you will lose important information and more difficult to understand what is explained or when you study at home.
If you can not focus when the teacher explains, sit on the front bench and participate more during lessons. Raise your hands and ask questions if there is something you have not understood or when your teacher says something interesting and you want to know more

  4. Learn to take notes. Recording (and noting "well") is not easy, but the notes help you learn and do your studies. Thus, your score and test results will improve. But you do not have to record everything your teacher says. Write down the most important and difficult things to remember.

  5. Try to do your homework well in time. Even if you do not get very good grades for your homework, your grades can continue to improve by doing your homework at the best possible time. Ask someone for help if there is something you do not understand. Your teacher may be able to find a tutor or even herself who helps you.
Make a schedule so you have enough time to complete your homework. Maybe you should start reducing watching TV or more often hanging out with friends, but this way will be very helpful.

  6. Learn early. One of the best ways to get a good test score is to prepare yourself by learning as early as possible. Do not delay until last night. If the test is difficult, you should start studying in advance, maybe two or three weeks before.
