Between two parks [eng/esp]

Parks treasure an important part of the history of cities and their people. Each corner, each tree jealously guards hundreds of stories: endless and amusing meetings between friends, the beginning of great loves or afternoons of rest for families. Each bench has served as a resting place for visitors.
In my city, which never ceases to surprise me with its charms, there is a park that has the peculiarity of being divided in two, that is, it is located on both sides of 5th Avenue in the elegant Havana neighborhood of Miramar, between 24th and 26th Streets. To the passerby it conveys the idea that they are two parks that "face each other".

Los parques atesoran parte importante de la historia de las ciudades y sus personas. Cada rincón, cada árbol guarda con mucho celo cientos de historias: reuniones interminables y divertidas entre amigos, el inicio de grandes amores o tardes de descanso de las familias. Cada banco ha servido de reposo al visitante.
En mi ciudad, que no deja de sorprenderme con sus encantos, existen un parque que tiene la peculiaridad de estar dividido en dos, o sea, que se encuentra ubicado a ambos laterales de la 5ta Avenida del elegante reparto habanero Miramar; entre las calles 24 y 26. Al transeúnte le transmite la idea de que son dos parques que se "miran de frente".

This large urban complex is known as Miramar Park. In the space located on the right side of the road, if you go through the starting point of the Túnel de Línea, the first thing you see at the entrance is the sculpture dedicated to General Mariano Ignacio Prado. The bust of the recognized former Peruvian president is located on three rectangular figures built in stone that have carved some historical questions about the life of Prado. I consider the choice of natural stone as the material used in the manufacture of this work to be very wise, because it is very durable and resistant to the passage of time, without the weather conditions affecting its image.
Another of the works that can be found on that side of the park is dedicated to the figure of the apostle of peace Mahatma Gandhi, which is engraved with the moving text: My life is my message.

Este gran conjunto urbanístico es conocido como el Parque de Miramar. En el espacio que se encuentra del lado derecho de la vía, si se transita tomando como punta de partida el Túnel de Línea, lo primero que se divisa en la entrada es la escultura dedicada al General Mariano Ignacio Prado. El busto del reconocido expresidente peruano está ubicado sobre tres figuras rectangulares construidas en piedra que tienen tallada algunas cuestiones históricas sobre la vida de Prado. Considero muy acertado la elección de la piedra natural como material usado en la fabricación de esta obra, porque esta es muy duradera y resistente al paso del tiempo, sin que las condiciones climáticas afecten su imagen.
Otra de las obras que se pueden encontrar en ese lateral del parque está dedicada a la figura de apóstol de la paz Mahatma Gandhi, que tiene grabada el emotivo texto: Mi vida es mi mensaje.

This park is characterized by its abundant and green vegetation, which besides decorating the environment, offers shade to the visitor, and allows that, no matter how high the temperature is, in this place you can always enjoy a refreshing breeze.

Este parque se caracteriza por su vegetación abundante y verde, que además de adornar el entorno, ofrecen sombra al visitante, y permite que, por muy alta que sea la temperatura, en ese lugar siempre se disfrute de una refrescante brisa.

Undoubtedly, the most architecturally significant feature of the park is the gazebo erected in the center of the park. In its general conception it is composed of a circular plan supported by wide columns with a dome-shaped roof.

Sin dudas, lo más significativo, desde el punto de vista arquitectónico que tiene el parque es la glorieta erigida justo en el centro del mismo. En su concepción general se compone de una planta circular soportada por anchas columnas con un techo en forma cupular.

In the central separator of the avenue that gives access to the other side of the park, there is one of the works of the Cuban artist Alexis Leyva Machado, more popularly known as Kcho. It is made of corten steel and is part of a total of 10 other similar pieces that are located along the avenue.
The sculpture has several boats of different sizes placed one on top of the other and with different supports. Here is a photo I took under my umbrella and towards the ground, where you can see the name of this work with the signature of its creator.

En el separador central de la avenida que da acceso al otro lateral del parque, se encuentra una de las obras del artista cubano Alexis Leyva Machado, más conocido popularmente como Kcho. Esta está confeccionada con acero corten y forma parte de un total de otras 10 piezas similares que están ubicadas a largo de la avenida.
La escultura posee varias embarcaciones de diferentes tamaños ubicadas unas encimas de otras y con distintos soportes. Les dejó una foto que tomé debajo de mi sombrilla y hacia el piso, donde se ve el nombre de esta obra con la firma de su creador.

On the other side of the park, also known as Emiliano Zapata Park, there is a plaque dedicated to the figure of this Mexican leader. The piece is erected on a concrete pedestal in a circular shape, whose main charm is that it looks like a large fountain, which instead of water, is covered by a green mantle of plants.

En el otro lateral del parque, conocido también como Parque Emiliano Zapata, se encuentra una tarja dedicada a la figura de este líder mexicano. La pieza está erigida sobre un pedestal de hormigón en forma circular, que tiene como principal encanto que parece una gran fuente, que en lugar de agua, está cubierta por un manto verde de plantas.

In the vicinity of the park there are also several buildings with very striking architectural designs, including the Belgian Embassy, the Embassy of the State of Qatar and the apartment residence called Parque de la Quinta.
Of these buildings, the facade of the Embassy of the State of Qatar stands out for its design: it is a large white house with tiled roofs, window frames and wall decorations painted in red.

En las inmediaciones del parque se encuentran también varias edificaciones con diseños arquitectónicos muy llamativos, entre las que destacan la Embajada de Bélgica, la Embajada del Estado de Qatar y la residencia de apartamentos llamada Parque de la Quinta.
De estos inmuebles, destaca por su diseño la fachada de la embajada del Estado de Qatar: es una gran casa blanca con sus techos de tejas, marcos de ventanas y decoraciones de paredes pintadas de color rojo.
